West Village Business Spotlight - 10 Fitness

Wanting a way to stay in shape and feel better? The 10 Fitness in West Little Rock not only delivers, but will give you more than what you expect.

The 10 Fitness on Rodney Parham Road opened in 2011, creating a very large workout space for the residents of West Little Rock to get fit.  It is one of 11 locations with more locations in the state planned in the future.

Brett Smith, a Missouri native and former pastor that has traveled the world on missions decided to get a degree from Missouri Western State University in Recreation Administration and it put him on the track to enjoy his passion for helping others through fitness and running day to day operations at the West Little Rock location.  Smith became the General Manager of 10 Fitness in April 2018. He enjoys welcoming new members of all fitness levels. The advice Smith gives about why someone would want to start a workout routine is, ”Not only do you reap the benefits of toning up, but the emotional, mental and psychological benefits are worth the investment in yourself.”

The membership at 10 Fitness goes beyond basic, offering Level 10 sessions that are included with the membership, a my zone band that syncs with an app monitoring your heart rate, percentage of exertion and tracks your success, and an “in-body” scan that measures where you are when you start looking for muscle balance deficiencies helping staff to know which exercise may be best for you.  

Modified exercise is available and Smith advises, “We have 10 trainers on staff and a couple of them have a special certification for training geriatrics and special accommodations.”

10 Fitness West Little Rock is open from 5am Monday until Friday at 10pm.  Weekend hours are from 8am to 8pm.
